In the latest version of TF2PickupBot there are several new features you need to be aware of.
First of all, there is a completely new ban system and an optimized warning system. Instead of being being kicked and banned from the channel, you now lose your ability to add to the pickup. When you try to add, the bot will explain why you are banned and it will tell you how long time there's left of your ban. You can see the list of active bans by typing !banlist and you can see the ban history of a user by typing !stats nickname
Secondly, the invite system has been rewritten such that it isn't dependent on Q's userlist thereby avoiding Q's 500 invite-limit. Unfortunately it also means it will be a little bit slower; so when a non-invited user joins the channel he won't be insta-banned. (It will typically take up to 15 seconds.)
A new !afk command has been made. If you are added to the pickup and type !afk then you will have to !ready up when the pickup is full. This is handy if you are going away from the computer a bit but you don't know for how long. Remember though, when the pickup is full you only have 1 minute to ready up.
Important: Abusing this command will result in long bans. Please also don't test it to see if it works - I can tell you, it does work!
We are now enforcing FaN Limit 1 on pickup2. We will be using a new Disallowed-Unlockable warning to enforce it. If a team's scouts both use FaN they will both get a warning. Already after a few warnings you will be banned for several days. There WON'T be a rule saying "the first scout to equip the fan has the right to keep it" because it will be too hard to enforce. Instead the scouts must try to agree on who uses it.
We want to introduce new 5cp push maps into pickup2. To do this a new !mapinfo command has been implemented. The admins will provide the bot with download info about the new custom maps. When someone votes for the map the bot reminds everyone to download the map before the pickup starts. You can also get the download links on-demand by typing "!mapinfo mapname".
To encourage people to play medic - and to reward people that already play medic - we are introducing Medics of the Week. Every Friday at 15:00 the bot will announce the 5 people that have played most medic the last 7 days as the "Medics of the Week", a title they can be proud of until the next Friday where (possibly) new players are being announced.
Being a Medic of the Week gives you some privileges:
- You will have auto +v on the pickup channel for the entire week
- You can use !NinjaAdd when the 10 normal slots are full and you want a normal slot. It adds you to a queue and waits for a normal slot to empty. When that happens you automatically get the slot. Notice that when you get ninja-add'ed you will automatically be marked as afk (to avoid the consequences of someone !ninjaadd'ing and then forgetting about it).
- When adding as medic you can use !friend and !foe to name one person you would like to be on your team OR name one person you would like not to be on your team.
