UPDATE: We are NOT looking for new admins at the moment.
When the TF2 Pickups began more than a year ago, it was a fairly small community lead by a group of friends. As the months passed by it has grown immensely, now serving more than 2000 pickups per month in pickup1 & 2 in total.
In all this time we haven't managed to keep our admin group up to date. A few have left, a few have joined, but at the moment we are only about 5 active admins taking care of more than 1500 players. You do the math.
That's why we need new admins. New active admins.
An admin's main tasks are:
- Deals with users that need help ("how to get Q auth", "I can't join vent, it says wrong password")
- Deals with user complaints ("!admin Mick didn't show up for the pickup")
- If he plays a pickup where someone doesn't show up or violate another rule, he can deal with it himself
- Every time he plays an unbalanced pickup he sets/changes the skill levels of players so it will be more balanced next time
- Notices when people use bad comms in pickup2, and deal out nocomms warnings.
If you want to apply for a spot, briefly answer the following questions:
- What is your SteamID?
- Why do you want to be a pickup admin?
- What will you primarily be doing as an admin?
- Which of these players is the best: weqo, numlocked, bash
- Which of these players is the sexiest: nvc, haunter, ryb, shintaz
