This post is primarily target towards admins.
As of TF2PickupBot v0.24 a completely new ban system has been introduced.
All of the following commands are to be used in the pickup channel.
!qban / !qunban
You are used to using !ban when you want to ban and kick someone from the pickup channel.
Now this command has been renamed to !qban
In other words, !qban is EXACTLY the same as what !ban was in earlier versions of the pickup bot. That is, it bans through Q.
The old !unban command is now !qunban (this is important to remember).
!ban / !unban
The new !ban command only bans a person from joining a pickup.
That is, if someone is banned, he CAN join the channel but he CAN'T !add or !med.
The new !ban command has the same syntax as the old one:
-- !ban nickname duration reason
An example:
-- !ban mick 10h Stop speaking spanish!
To see the list of the players that are currently banned do:
-- !banlist
The bot will write an URL on which you can see the list.
Notice that it takes a few seconds to register when you just did a !ban or !unban.
Ban history
To see a persons former and current bans type:
-- !stats nickname
The bot will write an URL showing all the warnings and the ban history of that player.
!warning
When using warnings it will automatically decide whether to use !ban or !qban so you don't have to worry about it.
Although, there is a special case you need to be aware of.
Let's say a person changed classes and wasn't on ventrilo.
Then you first give him a !warn nickname classes
Let's say he gets a 1 day ban for that.
Then you do !warn nickname novent
Let's say he gets a 2 day ban for that.
Then he has TWO bans at the same time!
In total he will be banned 3 days.
When you use !unban you remove all his current/active bans.
